windows, flight, and a few more static beings

Many of these are bits that were torn off (and discarded) from some pieces I did for a creative painting course last trimester. It never ceases to amuse and astound me the way something that is unnecessary and perhaps even "ugly" in one context can come into its own in another. Sometimes simply turning a paper over or upside down allows it to be appreciated in a whole new way. The history that each piece gained from being a part of a previous work comes through, making it more interesting and provocative material for me to use than picking up something new and yet unmarked. I also find that although these pieces are quite abstract, they are at the same time poetic, hovering on that line between the recognizeable and the suggestive.
